| Radon in Water Mitigation |
| Recently the Environmental Protection Agency's uranium in water Maximum Contaminant Level has become effective which has lead to increased interest in radon in drinking water. The NJDEP has issued "A North Jersey Homeowner's Guide to Radioactivity in Drinking Water: Uranium" which also addresses radon in water. The Guide can be downloaded from http://www.nj.gov/dep/rpp/download/urwater.pdf |
 |
Because radon in water mitigators is needed, the NJDEP has initiated a voluntary list of Radon in Water Mitigators. Professionals who meet the qualifications will be placed on the list. It is not necessary to be certified as a radon in air mitigator to be placed on the list and perform radon in water mitigations. To be placed on the list, an application must be submitted. The application, instructions, and monthly reporting form are available here. |
